Who we are

- Vehicle details β registration, make, model, year, MOT class and expiry date.
- Booking details β chosen garage, date and time, optional collection address and notes.

- To share booking details with the garage you choose so they can prepare for your visit.
- To send MOT expiry reminders, booking confirmations and other transactional emails.
- To process payments and prevent fraud.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum data needed with the following categories of recipient:
- The DVSA-approved garage you book with, so they can prepare for your visit.
- Stripe, our payment provider, for processing payments, tax calculation and collection, invoicing and refund handling.
- Our hosting, database and email-delivery providers acting as our processors.
- DVLA / DVSA services, where you choose to look up a vehicle or MOT history.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
How long we keep it
Account and booking data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet tax, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations. You can request deletion at any time and we will remove data we are not legally required to keep.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal data, and you can object to certain processing. Email info@bookingmymot.com and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
