Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 1 October 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
These terms govern your use of the website and booking service operated by BOOKMYMOT.COM ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, booking an MOT or otherwise using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or have authority to bind the business on whose behalf you are using the service.
2. The service
BOOKMYMOT.COM is an online platform that lets drivers find MOT testing centres, book a slot, pay online and receive expiry reminders. The MOT test itself is carried out by the independent DVSA-approved garage you choose; we are not the testing station and do not issue MOT certificates.
3. Your account
You must give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity that takes place under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purpose;
- submit false vehicle, identity or payment information;
- attempt to interfere with, probe, scrape or compromise the security of the service;
- upload or transmit malware or harmful code; or
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights.
5. Bookings, payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe handles payment processing, tax calculation and collection, and related transaction services. You may be shown Stripe's terms at checkout. Transaction emails and receipts are sent by Stripe on our behalf.
Our own refund position is set out on our Refund Policy page. Cancellation windows for individual MOT slots are shown at the time of booking and on your booking details page.
6. Intellectual property
All software, branding, content and design that make up the BOOKMYMOT.COM service are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, resell, redistribute or reverse-engineer the service.
7. Service availability
We work to keep the service available and accurate but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay sums owed, present a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly violate our policies. You may stop using the service at any time by closing your account.
9. Liability
Our aggregate liability to you in connection with the service is capped at the fees paid by you to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to info@bookingmymot.com.
